After a few years of thinking about buying a dough sheeter, I finally took the plunge and bought the 12" sheeter. While not strictly necessary in my home kitchen, it really helped with rolling out various doughs during the holidays, including croissant dough and a family recipe dough for Dutch sausage rolls. It made my holiday baking much easier and my doughs were rolled out more evenly and more quickly. It takes a little getting used to, but after one batch of dough I had gotten the hang of it. I'm glad I made the purchase.
Very handy device very precise on the thickness of the dough from side to side. very quick results. The only complaint I have is the board is in question, feels a little flimsy and I would have questions using a cutting wheel on the board. I found a 1/4 inch thick cutting board I cut to size and am using it as my rolling board so I don't worry about using a cutting wheel on the board.
