How do I know if my proofer is heating correctly?
The folding proofer is designed to keep its contents at the set temperature – not the air itself. To test the temperature of the proofer, fill a small metal cup (1 cup is best) half full with room temperature water and place on the wire rack in the center of the proofer. Turn on the proofer & set to 85F. Wait 45 minutes then measure the temperature of the water. The water temperature should be within 1-2 degrees of the set point value. Materials such as wet dough will respond in a similar manner to the cup of water.
My proofer will not turn on. What should I do?
Check that the power plug is pushed securely into the socket on the side of the proofer, then press the ON button firmly. You may want to verify that the wall socket is functioning correctly with another appliance. If your proofer still will not power on and is under warranty, call our customer service center at (800) 768-7064 for detailed instructions.
